AN INVITATION TO STUDY IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA AT ST STEPHEN'S SCHOOL

Each year, St Stephen's School welcomes a number of international exchange students into senior years as well as some groups of international students on short-term visits. The School has made the decision to include full-fee paying international students.

Western Australia is a safe and healthy location in which to study. The economy is strong, providing many opportunities for our students at school and beyond. We believe our School and its community benefit greatly from the advantages provided by a stable and secure environment.

St Stephen's School aim is to provide overseas students with a protected, friendly and supportive environment where we make each student's social and academic welfare our priority. We also understand the importance of maintaining students' cultural background while guiding them through an alternative culture so that they may obtain the full benefit from studying overseas. Currently, our School has many students who have immigrated to Australia. This provides us with a richness and diversity and with an environment in which international students will be readily welcomed. If required, we plan to provide opportunities for students to undertake a course to assist them with gaining English speaking proficiency and it is likely this will be in partnership with a recognised ESL provider.

The choice of subjects to be studied at St Stephen's School is an important one. Any course of study offered to a student, will be following a thorough consultation and discussion with the Head of Secondary, Careers Counsellor, the student and his/her family. A student's prior learning will be taken into consideration before a course of study is recommended.

Courses at St Stephen's School are based on the Curriculum Council of Western Australia which provide students with pathways to Australian and international universities and to vocational training institutions.

Our graduates have progressed to achieve very highly in their chosen professions in Australia and internationally and have the reputation for being fine men and women, passionate about their interests and who have a heart for caring for others.

We are able to provide at the Carramar campus for full-fee-paying senior international students for the commencement of 2008.
