St Stephen's School, catering from Pre-Primary to Year 12, has been established as a School within the Uniting Church to be part of the Christian witness of the church in the community.

APPLICATIONS NOW CLOSED FOR:

Pre Primary 2011, Year 3 2012 (Duncraig Campus only) and Year 7, 2012.

No further applications will be accepted.

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Intake into St Stephen's School, Carramar is at Pre-Primary (56 places) and Year 7 (86 places)
  • Intake into St Stephen's School, Duncraig is at Pre-Primary (28 places), Year 3 (30 places) and Year 7 (86 places)

Offer of places for Pre Primary 2010, Year 3 2010/2011(Duncraig only), Year 7 2010/2011 and Year 8 2010 (Duncraig and Carramar Campuses) have been completed with resultant long waiting lists.

ADMISSION OF APPLICANTS

Offer of places are made 12 months prior to entry into Pre-Primary and two years prior to entry into Year 3 (Duncraig only) and Year 7.

Effective 1 June, 2009 there has been a change to the Admissions Policy. In general terms, priority is given to families as listed below whilst maintaining an appropriate academic and co-educational balance within the School and comprising the original Founders vision of two thirds active Uniting and other Christian Church families and one third other members of the community:

  • Children of Active Uniting Church families
  • Siblings of current students
  • Children of current Staff members
  • Children of other Active Christian Church families
  • Children of Alumni
  • Siblings of future students and past students
  • Returning students
  • Other members of the community

Applications are sorted by the number of days from date of birth to date of registration.

  • Pre-Primary 2012 onwards
  • Year 3, 2013 onwards

CARRAMAR

  • Pre-Primary 2012 onwards

Registration Enquiry Form

After completing a Registration Enquiry form, our staff will return an Application for Registration form via email, with details on the number already registered and provide payment options should you wish to proceed. If you have problems returning the forms, please telephone the office or advise in an email your child/s name, date of birth, which campus and we will respond with the options available.

SECONDARY WAITING LIST

If your child is currently in Year 5 or above and you are seeking entry into Secondary School, please complete the Secondary Waitlist Form below and return with the requested documentation.  Your child's name will then be added onto our existing waiting list.

REGISTRATION FEE

A separate Application for Registration form must be completed for each child. A current fee of $100 (including GST) per child is payable. This fee will be retained by the School and applied to administration costs associated with enrolments and is not refundable. Please note that this application is only for the campus on your registration form and is not transferable.

ACCEPTANCE FEE

A non-refundable payment of 65% of the secondary term fee to the nearest $10.00 will be payable to secure a place and a contract entitled "Acceptance of Offer of a Place" will be signed. At this time a formal contract shall be entered into between the family and the School.

TUITION FEES

Tuition fees are reviewed annually and are payable in advance. An account is issued in October prior to the year the student commences at St Stephen's School for the first term's fees. Payment is required by 21 October, otherwise, the student's place will be reconsidered. Other charges are invoiced term by term.

ACTIVE CHURCH FAMILIES

As a guideline, "Active Church" means a member of the family (preferably all members) who is involved in the life of the church at least 2-3 times per month and has done so for more than twelve months. If the family does not attend, then the Church reference must indicate regular and active involvement in other areas of Church life, for example, run a weekly home bible study group. Church references may be checked with the relevant Ministers, prior to the offer of a place.

WITHDRAWAL OF STUDENT

A full terms' notice is required in writing to the Principal prior to the withdrawal of a student from the School; otherwise one term's fees in lieu of notice will be charged.
